  • A Bachelor's Degree is required.
  • For the Senior Manager level, 10+ years of relevant experience including 3+ years of supervisory experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, is required.
  • For the Manager level, 8+ years of relevant experience including 3+ years of supervisory experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain clear and reliable processes, identify needs for new processes, and teach others to manage and utilize these processes.
  • Leadership, time management, and people management skills are required.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Ability to use discretion and judgment when handling confidential and sensitive matters is required.
  • Demonstrated focus on achieving team productivity is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaborate with other members of a management team is required.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and an inclusive, respectful approach when working with others are required.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the office of the Associate Dean and oversee its daily administrative functions.
  • Develop and maintain administrative management procedures for Liberal Arts Undergraduate Studies and advise on complex matters.
  • Supervise staff supporting the Paterno Fellows Program, the Associate Dean, prospective student recruiting, the Office of Academic Integrity, and student awards.
  • Set priorities, assign work assignments, and conduct annual reviews.
  • Work with the leadership team to develop and manage budgets for each Liberal Arts Undergraduate Studies subunit.
  • Oversee fund management and approve financial transactions.
  • Monitor budgets to identify potential financial issues and overspending.
  • Partner with team members to oversee scholarship awarding for Liberal Arts Undergraduate Studies.
  • Support College committees devoted to curricular affairs, academic integrity, and undergraduate studies, as well as academic units delivering Liberal Arts Undergraduate Studies curriculum.
  • Advise College faculty and staff on curriculum development and revisions.
  • Serve as the point of contact for staff searches.
  • Manage the hiring of full-time and part-time employees in Liberal Arts Undergraduate Studies.
  • Initiate, process, and approve human resources and financial forms.
  • Assist with strategic and operational planning.
  • Communicate internal policies and procedures across the organization.
  • Coordinate facilities requests for the area.
  • Serve as liaison with College and University offices.
  • Work with the leadership team to plan and oversee events.
  • Use SAP, Workday, SIMBA, and the Curriculum Information Management system after training.
