Responsibilities
  • Design and drive high performance media campaigns for all products
  • Define the vision of the marketing technology stack
  • Collaborate with Marketing Analytics on testing and learning agenda for marketing growth
  • Work with finance on sales and marketing forecasts
  • Partner closely with ecomm to understand the consumer journey
  • Have a deep understanding of digital and performance marketing
  • Understand the difference between marketing a consumer product for point of sale versus also marketing for subscription acquisition, engagement, and retention
  • Be data-driven but comfortable taking risks and applying judgment and creativity
  • Collaborate with comms and creative teams to influence the creative process
  • Be a beloved manager and mentor
  • Build a strong understanding of the business model, marketing strategy, and current media approach
  • Put together a topline media strategy and list of hypotheses about how the media model could improve
  • Build relationships with partners and peers in marketing, finance, sales, and product
  • Get to know agency partners and form an opinion of their efficacy
  • Immerse in the available data sets and make recommendations on where to invest and improve
  • Conceive, execute, and report on small scale tests to optimize media investment
  • Make a recommendation for an optimal team structure to grow the business
  • Earn the confidence of the CMO and leadership
  • Run major media experiments to improve media effectiveness
  • Collaborate with the marketing team on a large scale campaign
  • Hit and regularly beat the sales forecast
  • Develop an effective operational model and communication approach with the team and cross functional partners
  • Transform the media strategy and help the business understand and have confidence in a full funnel model for fastest growth
  • Work with Marketing analytics and implement an effective attribution model
  • Drive higher ROAS than before
  • Make and successfully onboard key hires
