Requirements
- An MD degree from a recognized accredited university or foreign equivalent is required.
- A Neuromuscular Fellowship is required.
- Eligibility for a Florida medical license is required.
- A strong clinical and research background in clinical or translational research in neuromuscular disorders is required.
- Good communication skills in face-to-face, telephone, and written interactions are required.
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other employees are required.
- Good organizational skills are required.
Responsibilities
- Care for patients in the UHealth outpatient settings.
- Conduct electromyography studies at UHealth, Jackson Memorial Hospital, and associated clinics.
- Develop the electromyography service at UHealth Tower and the University of Miami Hospital.
- Train and mentor physicians and staff.
- Prepare and present at teaching conferences.
- Develop a research program in neuromuscular disorders.
- Obtain data and results that can be used to submit applications for future clinical research awards.
- Participate in the educational and mentorship activities of the Neuromuscular Division and the Department of Neurology.
Desired Qualifications
- Board certification in Neurology is strongly recommended.
