Requirements
  • At least 5 years of experience in data analytics, media insights, ad technology, or a related quantitative field.
  • Experience conducting measurement analysis and understanding solutions that report performance from awareness through conversions, including Brand Lift studies, Content Evaluation, Sales Lift, Incrementality, and multi-touch attribution.
  • Experience working with data clean room solutions such as LiveRamp and Snowflake for measurement and audience activation.
  • Experience translating complex data into applicable insights for non-technical audiences.
  • Experience with SQL.
  • Experience working directly with sales or client-facing teams.
Responsibilities
  • Develop expertise in the full suite of New York Times research capabilities and measurement products that deliver performance metrics across the full marketing funnel to current and potential clients.
  • Lead meta-analyses that merge first-party and third-party data sources to create unified narratives about The New York Times advertising platform and its audience.
  • Monitor key datasets to identify trends, package them into applicable insights, and communicate findings to support go-to-market strategies and client conversations.
  • Translate complex analytical findings into clear insights and present them to technical and non-technical partners, including senior leadership.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis using data tools and third-party datasets to answer critical business questions from Sales, Strategy, and Measurement teams.
  • Provide expert user feedback to guide the design of first-party data dashboards and tools.
  • Contribute to the development of new measurement capabilities, metrics, and frameworks that measure the value of the evolving suite of advertising products.
  • Support and understand the value of journalistic independence and remain committed to the mission of seeking the truth and helping people understand the world.
