Requirements
  • Education: A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, in the field of chemistry. A Master’s degree can substitute for five years of relevant commercial or government experience.
  • Experience: At least 15 years of relevant experience in explosive safety. The experience must include Agency or military work involving assigned positions related to explosives, ordnance, missile maintenance, and/or nuclear weapons. Experience may include conducting explosive ordnance disposal operations. The applicant must have experience with explosive safety standards such as the Department of Defense explosives and chemical weapons safety standards or The Agency explosive safety standard. The applicant must have experience in assessing explosive safety and nuclear explosive safety programs and their implementation. The applicant must have knowledge of the Agency Missions, sites, facilities, operations, and organizational roles and responsibilities.
  • Skills: U.S. Citizenship Required; Excellent oral and written communication skills; Proficient with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Adobe).
  • Security: All ProSidian staff must be determined eligible for a “Facility Access Authorization” (also referred to as an “Employment Authorization”) by the US Government’s designated Security Office.
  • Other: Must be able to use a computer to communicate via email; Education substitution clause: A Master’s degree can substitute for five years of relevant experience.
