Requirements
  • PhD with 5 years experience, MSEE degree with at least 8 years of experience, or a BSEE/BSME degree with at least 12 years of experience
  • Experienced in developing multi-kilowatt power electronics and motor controllers
  • Experienced in weight optimizing power electronics
  • Experience designing for and troubleshooting EMI/EMC related issues
  • Experience in troubleshooting issues during the testing phase of integrated designs
  • Good grasp of analog and digital hardware development and validation techniques
  • Ability to model, simulate and optimize performance in MATLAB and PLECS
  • Great interpersonal skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
Responsibilities
  • Designing high reliability power architectures and control electronics
  • Supporting motor controller testing, dyno testing, propeller testing, and aircraft testing
  • Overseeing all aspects of lifecycle development including concept, board design, deployment, testing, documentation, and troubleshooting
  • Coordinating with teams outside of the Motor Controller Team
  • Helping conceptualize designs for weight and power density optimization
