  • A strong technical foundation in threat detection and incident response.
  • Expertise with cloud security across one or more major providers, including cloud-native telemetry and detection sources.
  • Experience building or maturing detection infrastructure, including SIEM or security data lake pipelines, log onboarding and normalization, and detection-as-code workflows.
  • Expertise with endpoint detection and response and SaaS security monitoring, or comparable host and application telemetry depth.
  • Expertise authoring and maintaining detections for anomalous, network, host, identity, or cloud activity, and measuring detection coverage against adversary behavior.
  • Experience with incident management and driving cross-departmental collaboration for containment and remediation.
  • Expertise with the MITRE ATT&CK framework and modern adversarial techniques, and understanding of the NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
  • Ability to write quality, testable code in Python.
Responsibilities

About the company

Aurora Innovation develops and licenses self-driving technology for vehicles. Its main product, the Aurora Driver, is embedded into partner vehicles to move people and goods autonomously, serving logistics, ridesharing, and fleet-management needs. How it works: The Aurora Driver combines a sensor suite—notably FirstLight Lidar—with software for perception, planning, and control. The system is tested extensively with a Virtual Testing Suite to ensure reliability before deployment. Revenue comes from licensing the Driver as a service to partners, along with ongoing support and updates. How it differs from competitors: Aurora emphasizes its high-performance FirstLight Lidar, a strong safety culture, and a collaborative business model that partners with vehicle makers, logistics firms, and network operators to accelerate commercialization of autonomous driving. Goal: To make transportation safer and more efficient by expanding access to autonomous mobility and logistics solutions.

Grab, Under Armour and Aurora: three financially healthy penny stocks to watch

Simply Wall St has picked three low-priced stocks it calls financially healthy: Grab Holdings, Under Armour, and Aurora Innovation. The list follows news that the Pentagon plans to ban Chinese rare earth materials from US weapons systems by 2027, which may favour smaller, agile firms. Grab earns about $2 billion from deliveries, $1.3 billion from mobility, and $430 million from financial services. Its market value is roughly $11.4 billion, and it posted a $19 million operating profit. Under Armour has revenue above $4 billion and a market value near $2 billion. It plans to cut a further 25% of its products over 18 months, after an earlier 25% cut. Aurora Innovation runs driverless trucks without safety drivers and has logged more than 500,000 commercial miles. It reports about $5 million in revenue and a market value of roughly $9.6 billion.

Financial services adds $430 million, with revenue up 59% and the segment's adjusted EBITDA loss narrowing from $26 million to $15 million. Its market cap is $11.5 billion. Under Armour, valued at $2.0 billion, is cutting its product range by a further 25% over 18 months, after an earlier 25% cut. North America brings in about $2.8 billion of its revenue. Self-driving trucks get federal green light to swap warning triangles for cab beacons

Self-driving truck companies Aurora Innovation and Kodiak AI won a federal exemption that removes a major barrier to commercial operations. The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration will let them replace reflective warning triangles with cab-mounted warning beacons. Federal rules require a truck driver to place triangles on the road within 10 minutes of pulling over. Driverless trucks have no one to do that. Aurora had taken the issue to the District of Columbia Court of Appeals after a court denied its request for an exemption. Aurora's Gerardo Interiano called the beacons a "critical, 21st-century solution" that avoids putting a person in harm's way. Kodiak AI's Daniel Goff said the decision will help usher in "an autonomous era of freight movement on U.S. roads.

Aurora Innovation to add 175 driverless trucks in Q4 as cash burn hits $225M

Aurora Innovation's driverless truck fleet remains largely under construction, with most planned vehicles expected in the final quarter of 2026. The company valued at $10.3 billion operates only 20 to 25 driverless trucks currently but aims to reach 200 by year-end, requiring at least 175 additions in three months. Aurora ended June with nearly $1.2 billion in cash and short-term investments. Management expects quarterly cash usage of $190 million to $220 million in 2026. The company used about $225 million operationally in Q2, though management noted this was within targets when excluding $63 million in share-funded bonuses. The company lost approximately $1.0 billion operationally over twelve months against minimal revenue. Its operating margin stood at -19,400%, though management attributes part of losses to stock-based compensation rather than pure cash expenditure.
