- Work directly on the packing line while leading and supporting the team.
- Operate the packaging machine as part of daily production responsibilities.
- Monitor the packaging machine and help address minor operating or workflow issues.
- Keep the packing line organized, productive, and running efficiently.
- Assign employees to work areas and ensure everyone understands their responsibilities.
- Inspect finished products and packaging for quality issues or defects.
- Monitor product quality throughout the shift and ensure quality and packing standards are consistently followed.
- Identify quality concerns and communicate defects, recurring issues, or necessary rework to the appropriate supervisor.
- Help the team meet daily production and productivity goals.
- Train and assist new employees on packing procedures, quality expectations, and equipment operation.
- Communicate instructions clearly with employees and management.
- Monitor staffing and communicate attendance or headcount concerns to supervisors.
- Ensure the line has the materials and supplies needed to continue production.
- Address minor workflow issues and escalate larger production, equipment, or quality concerns to management.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Ensure employees follow company safety, quality, and production procedures.
- Previous packing, production, manufacturing, or warehouse experience is preferred.
- Previous Line Lead, Team Lead, or similar leadership experience is preferred.
- Bilingual English/Spanish ability is preferred but not required.
