Requirements
  • An active, unencumbered Texas registered nurse license is required.
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree, preferably in Nursing, is required.
  • If the graduate degree is in another field, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and at least 6 graduate-level nursing credits are required.
  • Demonstrated teaching ability and current clinical knowledge are required.
Responsibilities
  • Provide tutoring support for assigned Associate Degree in Nursing courses and subjects.
  • Lead remedial skills clinics to help students strengthen clinical competencies.
  • Reinforce course concepts and assist students with understanding challenging material.
  • Identify areas where students may need additional academic or skills support.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship related to academic and professional expectations.
  • Create a supportive, engaging, and positive learning environment.
  • Maintain current knowledge of nursing practices and educational standards.
  • Support student success and progression within the Associate Degree in Nursing program.
Desired Qualifications
  • At least 3 years of nursing education teaching experience.
