About the job
- A Bachelor of Computer Science (BCS) is mandatory; a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (BSc CS) or Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BS IT) is also accepted.
- Zero to one year of experience; internships or fresh graduates are welcome.
- Understanding of TCP/IP, LAN, WiFi, and basic firewall concepts.
- Basic knowledge of Windows Server, including Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP, and Linux, including Ubuntu or CentOS.
- Basic hardware, software, and printer troubleshooting skills.
- Basic understanding of ERP modules for inventory and production.
- Willingness to learn, teamwork, communication, and ability to work under supervision.
- Assist in monitoring firewalls, WiFi access points, and LAN and WAN connectivity.
- Help maintain 99.9% uptime on production floor networks under supervision.
- Support basic VLAN, subnetting, and VPN configurations.
- Report ISP link issues and assist in failover testing.
- Perform routine checks on Windows Server, including Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP, and on Linux servers.
- Troubleshoot basic hardware and software issues on production terminals, barcode printers, and floor PCs.
- Assist in managing Active Directory users and permissions.
- Review basic firewall logs and report anomalies.
- Help implement backup and recovery procedures for production data.
- Assist in troubleshooting ERP client issues on the production floor.
- Coordinate with senior staff and ERP vendors to resolve issues.
- Respond to basic IT tickets involving printers, scanners, and machine connectivity.
- Maintain IT asset inventory, including switches, routers, access points, and printers.
- CompTIA IT Fundamentals (ITF+).
- Cisco CCNA certification or currently studying for it.
- Linux Essentials certification.
