  • Valid ARRT certification or licensure in Computed Tomography is required.
  • At least 3 years of recent clinical CT scanning on contemporary Siemens CT equipment and software is required.
  • Proficiency in routine CT imaging on contemporary Siemens CT systems is required.
  • Must reside within one hour of the airport associated with the posted position.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication is required.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills are required.
  • Reliable high-speed internet access is required to complete Siemens training, participate in virtual meetings and collaboration activities, and facilitate assigned customer-facing remote education sessions.
  • PC proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint, is required.
Responsibilities
  • Deliver clinical education on Siemens CT imaging systems and components through in-person, remote, or virtual clinical training.
  • Work with modality team members to continually develop clinically relevant knowledge and expertise to support a positive customer experience.
  • Support Education and Workforce Solutions deliverables, including Siemens FlexForce engagements such as FlexForce Tech and FlexForce Coach, as required.
  • Travel at least 95% of the time, generally on weekdays, with two to four overnight stays per week; travel may extend beyond the geography of the job posting, and occasional out-of-scope hours or weekend support may be requested.
  • Prepare and gather regulatory-approved documentation for end-user training and contribute to creating, revising, and maintaining education materials and offerings.
  • Communicate professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Train technologists, physicians, physicists, and other staff to use Siemens equipment safely and effectively for new system installations, upgraded software or hardware features, and ongoing or remedial training.
  • Independently complete regulatory and core-process requirements, including timecards, travel booking, expense reporting and reconciliation, vendor credentialing, training in-service reports, and other assigned administrative responsibilities.
  • Work independently and self-govern while managing time, priorities, projects, travel, and administrative responsibilities.
  • Coordinate and facilitate training activities that support clinical outcomes, patient care, workflow, and productivity.
  • Maintain clinical and technical competency through continued education and participation in Siemens training programs.
Desired Qualifications
  • A BA or BS is preferred.
  • At least 5 years of clinical CT scanning experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Cardiac CT, including CaSc, CCTA, and TAVR; Dual Energy CT; CT Intervention; Neuro Perfusion; Pediatric Imaging; and syngo.via post-processing is preferred.
  • Teaching experience is preferred.

Siemens Healthineers secures $83M to develop photon Flash radiotherapy for cancer treatment

Siemens Healthineers has received up to $60 million from the US Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health to develop photon Flash radiotherapy, with the company contributing an additional $23 million, totalling $83 million over five years. Flash photon therapy delivers radiotherapy more than 100 times faster than current technologies, aiming to reduce side effects and improve healthy tissue sparing. Unlike proton and electron beam platforms, which face scalability challenges, photon beams are the standard of care for over 50% of cancer patients. The project will build on existing C-arm linear accelerators to enable broader clinical access. Siemens Healthineers aims to transition ultra-high dose rate radiotherapy from experimental treatment into global standard of care within the five-year timeframe.

Varian TrueBeam gets FDA clearance for low-dose radiotherapy to treat osteoarthritis

Siemens Healthineers has received FDA 510(k) clearance for its Varian TrueBeam radiotherapy systems to treat medically refractory osteoarthritis in adults using low-dose radiation therapy. This marks the first expansion of Varian's radiotherapy platform beyond cancer care into chronic musculoskeletal conditions. Osteoarthritis affects over 33 million adults in the US and approximately 600 million globally. The clearance covers TrueBeam, TrueBeam STx, VitalBeam and Edge systems, offering patients with persistent pain a non-invasive outpatient treatment option that targets inflammation, reduces pain and improves joint function. The approval builds on Varian's previous regulatory clearances for non-oncological indications, including radiosurgery treatment for medically refractory essential tremor. The TrueBeam platform combines high-resolution imaging with precise dose control whilst maintaining streamlined clinical workflows.

Telix and Varian enter research collaboration

Telix and Varian enter research collaboration. Telix Pharmaceuticals and Siemens Healthineers' company Varian have agreed to develop novel clinical applications that combine Telix's theranostics products and Varian's external beam radiation therapy (EBRT) technology. The first area of focus will be in identifying opportunities to use Telix's prostate cancer PET imaging agents in selecting patients for EBRT, developing personalized treatment plans (particularly in the context of Varian's Ethos adaptive radiotherapy system), and monitoring responses to treatment, Telix said. The agreement supports both company-sponsored and investigator-led clinical studies. Varian is a key player in EBRT and working with the company will allow Telix to explore how theranostics can be used more effectively by radiation oncologists to enhance patient selection and deliver targeted treatment, Telix noted.
