Requirements
  • A high school diploma is required.
  • Hold an FAA Mechanic Certificate with both Airframe and Powerplant ratings.
  • Have at least 2 years of maintenance experience as a Certified Mechanic.
  • Possess basic communication skills.
  • Computer skills are required.
  • Pass a pre-placement physical examination, including a functional capacity exam assessing strength and flexibility, the ability to lift up to 100 pounds, drug screening, and a background screen.
  • Live within a one-hour drive or 60 miles from the base, whichever is greater.
  • Work a 7-and-7 schedule.
Responsibilities
  • Review and evaluate daily maintenance or inspection requirements and carry out tasks necessary to maintain aircraft airworthiness.
  • Notify the Lead Mechanic of unusual situations requiring schedule changes, aircraft changes, additional manpower, or technical assistance.
  • At a field base, maintain all assigned aircraft, review stock levels, requisition spares as necessary for repairs, and ensure the safety and security of company assets.
  • Prepare reports, requisitions, and inventories, and personally certify in aircraft logs and related inspection and maintenance forms that completed work meets Federal Aviation Administration, manufacturer, and PHI Health requirements.
  • Complete entries in RAMCO, including work packages, status sheets, removals, and installations in the physical structure.
  • Maintain close communication with the Lead Mechanic, AMBS, and other appropriate agents to ensure effective and timely job completion.
  • Maintain parts inventory and recommend inventory-level changes when necessary.
  • Maintain company-provided special tools and ensure scheduled calibration is performed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Travel between bases as required.

  • Sheet metal repair and/or avionics troubleshooting or repair skills.
  • Ability to travel frequently, sometimes with short notice during regularly scheduled hitch.
  • Ability to work night shifts when maintenance events dictate.
