About the job

Requirements
  • Have 3–10 years of experience shipping pioneering products.
  • Demonstrate deep, hands-on fluency with artificial intelligence and curiosity about its ecosystem, including emerging technologies, products, and practices.
  • Have zero-to-one experience creating something from nothing in an ambiguous problem space, on a small team, without a playbook.
  • Be experiment-minded, able to run parallel bets and select winners using hypotheses, baselines, and results.
  • Demonstrate deep customer empathy and an orientation toward finding customers and solving their problems.
  • Think deeply, communicate clearly, and write well.
  • Demonstrate strong ownership, the ability to make things happen with limited resources, and sound direction-setting and prioritization amid early-stage ambiguity.
  • Believe deeply in SageOx's mission and embody its values.
  • Be able to work in person in Seattle five days a week, or, as a Bay Area-based candidate, be able to work in Seattle at least one week per month for the first six months.
  • If invited after the initial assessment, participate in a 3–5 day work trial in Seattle.
Responsibilities
  • Stay close to how teams work with agents and use SageOx by reviewing usage data, customer conversations, support threads, and cases where users or agents cannot find needed context; synthesize this information into a current understanding of customer goals, unmet needs, and obstacles.
  • Determine which customer-experience moments create the most value, which customers would pay for them, and how to shape and package the product so customer value supports the company.
  • Frame important questions and build a process for developing ideas, testing them with real teams, validating quickly, and discontinuing ideas that do not hold up.
  • Ship features and experiments rather than producing strategy without execution.
  • Move ambiguous customer problems through testable hypotheses to completed experiments.
  • Envision, package, price, and communicate the right product to the right customers; prioritize, cut scope, and synthesize when appropriate.
  • Conduct customer discovery by observing customers, asking focused questions, and changing direction when evidence contradicts an initial idea.
  • Prototype ideas and help the team understand and act on them.
  • Help shape how teams work with agents and how product-management craft develops in the agentic era.
  • Focus on the culture, rituals, and workflows around SageOx as well as specific product features.
Desired Qualifications
  • Founder or early-employee experience at a fast-growing company.
  • Connections to the builder community in Seattle, San Francisco, or online.
