Requirements
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • DSP 1 and DSP 2 qualifications are required.
  • Candidates must be at least 21 years old.
  • Candidates must possess or be willing to obtain CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Candidates must complete necessary training, including medication administration and behavior management techniques.
  • Candidates must have interpersonal and communication skills and a patient, supportive attitude.
  • Candidates must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Candidates must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Candidates must be able to lift and assist clients while complying with safety guidelines.
Responsibilities
  • Assist clients with daily living activities while emphasizing independence and self-sufficiency.
  • Implement and monitor individualized support plans tailored to each participant's needs.
  • Provide emotional support and encouragement to help clients achieve their personal goals.
  • Engage clients in social, educational, and recreational activities to promote community participation.
  • Support clients with personal hygiene, dressing, meal preparation, and other daily tasks as needed.
  • Document client progress and communicate significant changes to supervisory staff.
  • Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other team members to provide comprehensive support.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies.
Desired Qualifications
  • Prior experience supporting individuals with disabilities is preferred.
