Industrial Maintenance Technician
About the job
- A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience is required.
- Experience in industrial maintenance, a technical field, or technical schooling is required.
- The candidate must have controls, robot programming, and automation experience.
- The candidate must have working knowledge of programmable logic controller and relay logic control systems.
- The candidate must have working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic devices and controls.
- The candidate must have working knowledge of electrical distribution systems and lockout/tagout procedures.
- The candidate must be proficient in using hand tools, power tools, shop equipment, and appropriate personal protective equipment.
- The candidate must be proficient in metal cutting, welding, drilling, and tapping.
- The candidate must be able to perform active job duties involving standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing.
- The candidate must be able to lift or move 50 pounds.
- The candidate must follow Occupational Safety and Health Administration and internal safety standards.
- Install and maintain production machinery and facility equipment.
- Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of machinery.
- Support machine improvement projects and the installation of new equipment.
- Complete total productive maintenance activities on workshop equipment.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and blueprints to perform required maintenance and service.
- Use hand tools, power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment while performing maintenance duties.
- Perform other duties as required or assigned by the supervisor.
- Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills are preferred.
- Automation experience is preferred.
- Previous experience maintaining air compressors is preferred.
