  • Demonstrated experience deploying and operating API Connect on Kubernetes using operators and custom resources (CRDs), and using platform administration utilities.
  • Expertise in Kubernetes on managed public-cloud environments, primarily Amazon EKS and additionally Azure AKS, including kubectl, Helm, namespaces, pods, deployments, statefulsets, persistent storage, ingress, and network policies.
  • Experience with AWS services supporting the platform: EC2, ELB/NLB, Route 53, Certificate Manager, S3, and CloudWatch.
  • Expertise configuring products and plans in API Manager, including consumption plans, rate limits, quotas, and subscriptions.
  • Expertise managing TLS and mTLS certificates, including generation, installation, renewal, and rotation between subsystems and toward consumers.
  • Experience configuring platform-level API security mechanisms: OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT, API keys, and IP allowlists.
  • Experience backing up, restoring, and recovering API Connect subsystems after disasters.
  • Experience diagnosing end-to-end performance and connectivity, including gateway and management log analysis, traces, latency, connectivity testing, and name resolution.
  • Operational automation using Bash or Python scripting and familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform.
  • Experience leading technical relationships with vendors and managing critical escalations in 24×7 operating models.
  • Prior experience in technical leadership or coordinating platform teams.
  • Experience with IT service management tools, preferably ServiceNow.

  • Analytical thinking to turn recurring incidents into lasting platform improvements.
  • Ability to mentor and develop senior, semi-senior, and junior team members.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the technical administration and operation of the IBM API Connect public-cloud platform, defining operational standards and reference configurations for the Management, Gateway, Portal, and Analytics subsystems.
  • Serve as the platform’s highest technical escalation point for P1/P2 incidents and coordinate resolution with the vendor, cloud provider, and other program towers.
  • Govern platform capacity management, including sizing pod replicas and resources, scaling the EKS and AKS nodes supporting components, and anticipating gateway performance limits.
  • Define the standard for API consumption plans (products, plans, rate limits, and quotas) in API Manager and govern changes with application owners.
  • Evaluate platform changes and requests for feasibility, risk, and execution, and assess the risk of updates and fix packs in development, approval, and production environments.
  • Govern the API Connect update and patching lifecycle by planning maintenance windows, coordinating production dates with AVC, and monitoring compliance.
  • Govern the backup and restoration strategy for API Connect subsystems, own recovery procedures, and validate them periodically.
  • Define platform certificate-management standards (TLS and mTLS between subsystems and toward consumers) and oversee installation and renewal under AVC cybersecurity-team direction.
  • Define network access-control standards for the platform, including IP allowlists, Kubernetes network policies, and security groups associated with gateway load balancers and endpoints.
  • Apply platform hardening approved by AVC, lead remediation of vulnerabilities directed by the cybersecurity team, and implement vendor recommendations.
  • Lead root-cause analysis of recurring problems, recommend structural solutions, and own associated action plans.
  • Define the platform observability model, including metrics, thresholds, and log extraction and forwarding to program monitoring tools.
  • Participate in monthly client tower-governance meetings, presenting service status, risks, mitigations, identified improvements, and capacity evolution in coordination with application owners.
  • Verify the environment’s main offenders and convene vendors, developers, or other operational-support areas when appropriate.
  • Identify needs for vendor escalation, request AVC’s assistance in managing them, and work with the provider to resolve complex technical problems.
  • Propose improvements to the supported environment and define the platform’s operational-automation strategy.
  • Ensure the technical infrastructure documentation for API Connect and operational runbooks remain accurate and current.
  • Mentor senior, semi-senior, and junior platform staff and ensure knowledge transfer.
  • Provide 24×7 coverage for P1/P2 incidents and emergency changes, and 12×5 coverage (Monday to Friday, 7:00–19:00 Colombia time) for P3/P4 incidents.
  • Participate in monthly tower-governance meetings with the client.

Accenture jumps 19% on earnings beat as SEC opens private assets to retail investors

Accenture shares rose about 19% after the consulting firm beat earnings and revenue expectations for its fiscal 2026 year, and guided fiscal 2027 slightly above Wall Street forecasts. Revenue grew 5% in local currency; management expects 3% to 6% growth next year. Non-GAAP operating margin edged up to 15.8%. The stock had dipped below 10 times expected earnings and now trades at about 14 times. Accenture said 65% of new bookings came from outcome-based fixed-price projects, which a Motley Fool contributor called a counterweight to AI's unpredictable costs. Separately, new US Securities and Exchange Commission rules aim to open private assets to retail investors. They raise the performance fee cap for registered advisers, add professional licences as a route to accredited investor status, and give private funds more leeway on redemptions.

TÜV SÜD and Accenture unveil physical AI safety suite to bring factories online up to 30% sooner

TÜV SÜD and Accenture are working with NVIDIA technologies to speed up safety certification of robots in factories and warehouses. They unveiled a joint "Physical AI Safety Suite" at NVIDIA GTC Berlin. The suite uses digital twins, AI agents, and simulations to partly replace manual assessments. TÜV SÜD estimates the digital process could bring production online up to 30% sooner. Certification against standards such as ISO 3691-4 is mandatory in many industrial countries before automated facilities can start. At a medium-sized plant, agreeing on safety concepts can take several weeks. The suite checks layouts, robot fleets, and individual robots before deployment. TÜV SÜD provides independent assessment and keeps responsibility for certification.

Accenture caps staff AI spending at $29 a month after $1,000 bills

Accenture has capped employee AI spending at $29 (£21.75) a month after some staff ran up bills of $1,000, according to a report by 404 Media. The consulting firm wants to curb runaway costs as employees use AI for more everyday tasks. Companies are typically billed by usage, like a utility. Last week, some staff were told their access to Anthropic's Claude had been pulled entirely. Others are also reining in costs. Uber capped engineers' Claude spending at $1,500 a month after using up its AI budget in four months, while Microsoft has reportedly cut its Claude spending by about a third. The curbs come as Anthropic prepares for a public listing, targeting a valuation as high as $2tn. Investors are reportedly considering about $1.5tn.

Accenture's AI push: analysts see earnings reaching $10.3B by 2029 on 5.2% yearly revenue growth

Accenture is shifting AI work from pilots to deeply embedded systems, according to recent deals with UMass Memorial Health, Dell, Microsoft and Workday. The UMass Memorial project is a multi-year AI data platform, while the Dell alliance pitches private AI infrastructure to regulated clients. Analysts expect revenue to grow 5.2% a year over the next three years, with profit margins rising from 11.3% to 11.9%. They forecast earnings of $10.3 billion by 2029, up from $8.4 billion today, on revenue of $86.3 billion. The stock trades at a price-to-earnings ratio of 14.2x, against 21.9x for US IT peers. Risks include slower decision cycles in federal and EMEA work, which could curb consulting demand and margins.
