Requirements
  • A bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • At least five years of experience in the commercial construction industry, overseeing all aspects of ground-up projects in healthcare, financial, and light industrial sectors.
  • The ability to manage more than two projects at one time and balance workload in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multiple teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in project reporting software, Microsoft Office, and blueprint reading.
  • Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
  • A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel to various job sites.
  • The ability to supervise and lead the team.
  • The ability to schedule and supervise the multitasking work of a multi-member team.
  • Proven knowledge in commercial building and construction and related sectors.
  • Computer literacy and basic knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office and Outlook.
  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • The ability to manage multiple projects and activities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • A basic understanding of the construction process, including materials, equipment, and techniques.
  • Three to five years minimum of project management experience.
  • Travel is required, up to 30%.
  • The ability to sit, talk, or hear; use repetitive hand motions; handle or feel; stand, walk, reach, bend, lift up to 20 pounds, and climb stairs.
Responsibilities
  • Manage the project budget, write contracts, approve invoices, and update the project schedule.
  • Coordinate among subcontractors and help resolve issues or conflicts during the job.
  • Organize, process, and distribute pertinent project documents.
  • Create the project schedule.
  • Expedite documents and material and equipment deliveries to meet the project schedule.
  • Maintain cost control data.
  • Prepare cost reports.
  • Maintain mutually satisfying long-term relationships with customers, architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and employees.
  • Develop short interval schedules for weekly coordination meetings.
  • Conduct implementation and tracking of LEED requirements.
  • Administer document control for shop drawings, submittals, subcontracts and purchase orders, insurance certificates and bonds, requests for information, plans and specifications, warranties and as-builts and manuals, notices to owner and lien releases, construction bulletins, change order requests from the owner, and back charges.
  • Review shop drawings and submittals to verify compliance with contract documents.
  • Complete subcontractor payment and vendor invoice processing.
  • Attend project-related meetings and assist with preparing and distributing meeting minutes and attendee rosters.
  • Write a weekly report with notes from the superintendent.
  • Manage close-out procedures and activities.
  • Ensure safety rules and regulations are carried out at the project site.
