Graduate of an accredited Speech Language Pathology program.
Certification of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association or eligibility to begin a clinical fellowship year is preferred.
Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist as required in Kentucky.
Responsibilities
Perform skilled therapeutic services within the Speech Language Pathologist’s scope of practice, including screening and evaluation for speech and language therapy.
Administer and interpret standardized assessments that identify deficits related to speech, language, and feeding.
Establish and update plans of care for speech therapy.
Treat sound production, language, fluency, pragmatics, augmentative and alternative communication, aural, cognitive, voice, and/or feeding needs, including home education programs.
Reassess and re-evaluate progress leading to discharge when all goals are met.
Educate the public on how speech and language therapy helps and how the community can access support.
Support the whole child through a multidisciplinary team approach.
Provide services in the selected setting: outpatient in Owensboro or Henderson, remote telehealth, and/or a school-based setting.

Responsibilities of a Speech Language Therapist

Educate the public on how Speech & Language Therapy helps, such that the community sees help is available and possible.
Support the whole child with our complimentary multidisciplinary team approach.

Speech Language Pathologist Qualifications
