Requirements
  • Availability to work off-shift work, overtime, weekends, and out-of-town assignments as needed.
  • Ability to handle physical workloads effectively.
  • A minimum of two years of relevant experience in audio-visual, security, access control, or infrastructure cabling.
  • Three to five years of related experience and/or training.
  • Proven experience leading project teams and reporting to a Foreman or Project Manager.
  • A valid driver's license is required, and the employee's motor vehicle record is subject to the company's Fleet Safety Program.
  • Basic hand tools necessary for project completion.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Familiarity with industry tools and equipment.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces and lift or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, write correspondence, and communicate effectively with others, preferably and sometimes exclusively in English.
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic with whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, and compute rate, ratio, and percent and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions in situations with limited standardization.
  • Ability to perform the listed physical functions, including standing, walking, reaching, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, squatting, crawling, identifying colored wires, using ladders or scaffolds, and viewing computer monitors for long periods.
  • Ability to work in environments involving moving mechanical parts, high or precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outdoor weather, electrical-shock risk, vibration, and sometimes loud noise.
  • Compliance with company safety policies and applicable safety-related federal or state requirements; the position is safety-sensitive and drug-free.
Responsibilities
  • Execute project installations as directed by the Project Manager.
  • Follow project drawings and manufacturer specifications for all installations.
  • Communicate professionally with field staff and customers.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager, Field Technicians, and other team members.
  • Adhere consistently to company safety guidelines and requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as they arise.
  • Act as the primary on-site contact for clients and represent the company professionally.
  • Attend site meetings as required and provide updates on project progress.
  • Participate in ongoing training and certification programs provided by the company.
Desired Qualifications
  • Proficiency installing card access, closed-circuit television, and intrusion detection systems.
  • Experience with Lenel, Software House, Axis, or Avigilon systems.
  • First-Aid and CPR certification.
  • Manufacturer certifications.
  • Industry certifications.
  • Willingness to travel at least 60% of the time within the designated work location or regional territory.
