Hourly Rate:

AE-RA-Tuteur / TA-RA-Tutor : $31.89 ou/or $50.25 (2024-2025)

Undergraduate students will be paid at the lower rate; while graduate students will be paid at the higher rate.

These rates do not include vacation pay nor statutory pay.

Lab demonstration, hold office hours, correction of midterm and part of final. Proctoring exams.

Minimum qualifications

Minimum C.G.P.A. of 7.0; 

Minimum grade of A- in ADM2340/ADM1340 (formerly ADM 2343) or its equivalent; 

Ability to meet strict deadlines and manage workload efficiently

Strong understanding of fundamental accounting concepts

Demonstrated ability to solve accounting problems accurately and efficiently

Ability to apply grading rubrics and provide clear, structured feedback

Ability to meet strict deadlines and manage workload efficiently

Experience with Excel considered an asset

Strong attention to detail and ability to grade calculations and financial statements consistently

Comments

Preference will be given to candidates who have previously been teaching assistants or markers for this course

Preference will be given to candidates enrolled in Telfer programs or with a strong academic background in accounting or finance

Must include evidence that you have completed ADM1340 or its equivalent.

Candidates may need to complete financial accounting test prior to being offered a position;

Candidates on short list may be interviewed by course professor/coordinator.

Contract hours may be reallocated among different tasks, which the professor may adjust over the course of the semester.

Must be located in Ottawa for the entire duration of the course (with the exception of official University holidays), including through the grading of the final exam and calculation of final grades by the professor.
