About the job
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- Six months to one year of related experience or training is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must obtain and maintain any required local or state food handling, supervision, or sanitation certifications.

- Take food and beverage orders, relay them to kitchen staff, and deliver meals accurately and promptly to residents and guests.
- Respond to resident and guest requests in a timely manner and engage with diners to ensure satisfaction with food and service.
- Ensure beverages are properly prepared and orders meet quality standards, including temperature, appearance, and doneness; return items that do not meet expectations.
- Address dining room issues or concerns and escalate them to management when necessary.
- Assist with meal preparation and assembly under the direction of the Cook or Dining Services Manager, following standardized recipes and menu guidelines.
- Label and date food items appropriately, maintain proper storage, dispose of waste correctly, and follow all sanitation standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including setting tables, clearing dishes, and restocking supplies.
- Complete required temperature logs during each shift to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Assist with receiving, stocking, and organizing food and supply deliveries as needed.
