Provenir named a Major Player in the IDC MarketScape: Worldwide Decision Intelligence Platforms 2026 Vendor Assessment.

Provenir named a Major Player in the IDC MarketScape: Worldwide Decision Intelligence Platforms 2026 Vendor Assessment. PARSIPPANY, N.J., - October 14, 2026 - Provenir, the Decision Intelligence Platform for financial services providers, on Oct 12 announced it has been positioned in the Major Players Category in the IDC MarketScape: Worldwide Decision Intelligence Platforms 2026 Vendor Assessment (Doc #US54118426, September 2026). Provenir was also named a Major Player in the 2024 edition of this IDC MarketScape. The recognition follows two years of continued investment in Provenir's Decision Intelligence Platform, including production-accurate simulation, advances in AI models and assistants, and expanded capabilities designed to help customers design, test and deploy decision strategies faster. The IDC MarketScape evaluated vendors supporting decision design, decision engineering and decision orchestration. The assessment covered vendors serving industries from financial services and insurance to government, manufacturing, and retail; Business News This Week believe Provenir earned its position while maintaining a deliberate focus on financial services and adjacent sectors. The 2026 assessment also reflects the growing role of generative and agentic AI in how decision logic is authored, tested and explained, alongside continued human oversight. The IDC MarketScape highlights Provenir's unified low-code platform, stating "Provenir brings together decisioning, data orchestration, model orchestration, simulation, and case management in a single cloud-native environment, reducing reliance on separate point solutions for related decisioning functions." IDC highlights three areas of strength: * Unified low-code platform: Provenir brings together decisioning, data orchestration, model orchestration, simulation, and case management in a single cloud-native environment, reducing reliance on separate point solutions for related decisioning functions. * Breadth of the data marketplace: The vendor's marketplace includes more than 150 prebuilt integrations with third-party data and analytics providers, and new integrations are typically turned around in about two weeks, shortening timelines that can otherwise stretch to several months. * Platformwide AI assistant: A generative AI assistant operates across dashboards, model building, and documentation functions platformwide, providing conversational access to insights, recommendations, and translated documentation regardless of which page a user is working from. The IDC MarketScape also notes Provenir's "same engine" simulation approach: "where changes are tested using the identical processing rails and up to 12 months of live production data that power the operational platform, which may appeal to organizations that want confidence in projected outcomes before rules or scorecards go live." This gives organizations greater confidence in projected outcomes before changes go live. "I believe being named a Major Player for the second assessment in this market reflects the progress we've made in building a true decision intelligence platform," said Lawrence Smith, CEO of Provenir. "Financial services providers need to change strategy quickly without losing control of how decisions are made. By bringing data, AI, simulation and governance together, we help customers test, understand and improve decisions before changes go live." Provenir's generative AI assistant and MCP connectivity are in production today, supporting documentation retrieval, insight generation and guided model building. The IDC MarketScape also notes that Provenir's near-term road map priorities include "natural language-driven flow generation, expanded automated recommendations, and human-in-the-loop monitoring for agents, reflecting a broader shift from assisted decision design toward continuous, machine learning-informed strategy optimization across the decisioning life cycle." FFrom regulatory complexity to competitive confidence: how Provenir supports responsible decisioning across North America.

FFrom regulatory complexity to competitive confidence: how Provenir supports responsible decisioning across North America. Across North America, financial services providers must make faster, more accurate decisions while meeting increasingly complex regulatory expectations. In the United States, federal obligations sit alongside a growing patchwork of state privacy, cybersecurity and artificial intelligence laws. In Canada, organizations must address PIPEDA, provincial privacy requirements and guidance from the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions. For organizations using data and AI in credit, fraud and identity decisions, compliance cannot be a final check. It must be built into the way technology is governed, operated and monitored. Governed and explainable decisioning. Provenir brings data, AI models, analytics and automated decisioning together within a single, governed environment. Customers retain control over their decision strategies, rules and compliance guardrails, with the ability to test, approve, monitor and adjust them through controlled processes. This matters most in US credit decisioning. The Equal Credit Opportunity Act requires lenders to provide specific and accurate reasons for adverse decisions, even when AI or complex models are used. Provenir supports transparent decision logic, configurable reason codes and accessible decision information, helping customers explain outcomes and maintain an effective audit trail. The customer remains responsible for its lending decisions and legal obligations. Provenir provides the governed technology and control capabilities that help it meet them. Strong privacy, security and assurance. Provenir operates a mature privacy and data protection framework covering data-processing agreements, controller and processor responsibilities, international transfers, retention, data subject rights, subprocessor oversight and privacy risk assessments. These controls help customers understand how and where personal information is processed, and provide evidence of the safeguards applied throughout the processing chain. Independent assurance carries equal weight. Provenir maintains ISO/IEC 27001 certification for its Information Security Management System and has completed a SOC 2 Type II assessment covering security, availability and confidentiality. Enterprise customers can also access appropriate assurance evidence, subject to scope and confidentiality requirements, including security and privacy information, penetration-testing summaries, business continuity information and AI governance documentation. This evidence supports vendor due diligence and helps customers demonstrate effective third-party oversight. It is particularly relevant to the US Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act Safeguards Rule and to Canadian expectations under OSFI Guidelines B-10 and B-13 concerning third-party, technology, cybersecurity and operational resilience risk. Responsible AI with practical controls. Responsible AI requires more than a policy. It needs defined accountability, risk assessment, testing, documentation, human oversight, performance monitoring and controlled change management. Provenir is developing its AI governance framework in alignment with ISO/IEC 42001 and emerging regulatory requirements, building on its established compliance, privacy, risk and information security controls. Compliance as a customer advantage. Provenir does not claim to make customers automatically compliant. It gives financial services providers across North America a controlled and transparent decisioning environment, backed by mature governance and independent assurance. This helps customers manage regulatory scrutiny, complete enterprise due diligence more efficiently and innovate without losing control. In a market where trust increasingly determines which technology providers can support critical financial processes, Provenir's Compliance, Regulatory and Data Protection capabilities do more than support the business. They turn assurance into advantage, and that is a genuine competitive differentiator. Claire Hartley Chief Compliance Officer & Group DPO, Provenir 7 Sep, 2026 Latest Resources

Marginalen Bank scales Decision Intelligence with Provenir Cloud2 migration.

Marginalen Bank scales Decision Intelligence with Provenir Cloud2 migration. Marginalen Bank has completed a migration to Provenir Cloud2, upgrading its core decisioning infrastructure to a cloud-native environment. For fintech leaders, this transition highlights the ongoing shift toward high-velocity, data-driven lending models where legacy on-premise limitations are being replaced by scalable, automated workflows to manage risk and customer acquisition in real-time. What was announced. Stockholm-based Marginalen Bank is modernizing its decisioning capabilities by moving to the latest generation of Provenir's platform, Cloud2. This migration marks a significant evolution in a partnership that dates back to 2017. By adopting the cloud-native iteration of the software, the bank aims to simplify its internal operations and increase the speed at which it can adjust its lending criteria and automated workflows. The implementation covers a broad spectrum of the bank's portfolio. Marginalen Bank currently utilizes Provenir's decision intelligence across its consumer lending, mortgage, credit card, and corporate lending divisions. The shift to Cloud2 is designed to provide a modernized user experience for the bank's risk and operations teams, offering enhanced workflow capabilities that facilitate faster business changes. By moving away from older infrastructure, the bank gains improved flexibility to integrate diverse data sources, which is essential for maintaining accurate risk assessments across both retail and commercial sectors. The modernization initiative is a core component of the bank's wider strategy regarding operational efficiency and digital transformation. The transition to a cloud-native environment allows for more seamless updates and the ability to scale decisioning power based on market demand, providing a foundation for increased automation in the credit lifecycle. "We are continuously focused on improving efficiency, agility, and the customer experience across our lending operations. The migration to Provenir Cloud2 supports our ambition to modernize our decisioning capabilities and gives us greater flexibility moving forward." Ludmilla Åttingsberg, Head of Digital Operations at Marginalen Bank. The companies involved. Marginalen Bank is a Swedish financial institution that provides a range of banking and financial services to both individuals and businesses. The bank focuses on creating scalable banking services and has positioned itself as a digitally-forward competitor in the Nordic market, emphasizing accessible financial products and streamlined customer journeys. Provenir is a global provider of Decision Intelligence software, specializing in helping financial institutions, fintechs, and payment providers automate their decisioning processes. The company's platform is designed to unify data, AI, and decisioning into a single ecosystem, allowing organizations to manage risk throughout the customer lifecycle - from onboarding and credit granting to fraud detection and collections. Provenir operates on a global scale, providing the infrastructure necessary for firms to transition from manual or fragmented risk assessments to fully integrated, automated cloud environments. The company has a significant presence in the Nordics, supported by dedicated regional sales and technical teams, and focuses on delivering "future-ready" environments that can handle the increasing complexity of global financial data. What FF News has reported before. What this means. This move signals that the "first wave" of fintech transformation - simply adopting digital tools - is giving way to a second wave focused on infrastructure maturity. For banks like Marginalen, staying on older versions of vendor software is no longer viable when competitors are using cloud-native tools to iterate on credit models in days rather than months. The pressure is now on legacy providers who cannot offer seamless cloud migration paths, as financial institutions increasingly prioritize "agility" as a defensive necessity against market volatility. The industry-wide question remains whether these cloud migrations will truly lower total cost of ownership or if the complexity of managing cloud-native workflows will require a new, expensive tier of specialized talent.
