- Graduate of a school of vocational nursing or a medical radiologic technology program.
- Current licensure as a Radiology Technologist in the State of Texas.
- An LVN with Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist certification will be considered.
- Basic Life Support certification is required within 60 days of employment.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification is required within 90 days of employment.
- Assist in cardiac catheterization laboratory procedures under the general supervision of the Registered Nurse.
- Prepare patients for procedures, including intravenous placement, blood collection, and site preparation.
- Review patient charts to ensure consents and appropriate laboratory results are in place.
- Monitor patients post-procedure, including site management, vital-sign monitoring, and telemetry monitoring.
- Provide high-quality, effective patient care based on the physical, psychological, educational, safety, and related criteria of the patient population.
- Work collaboratively to integrate the goals of the Heart and Vascular Center with Huntsville Memorial Hospital.
- Function as a member of the heart and vascular team.
- One year of clinical experience in cardiac and peripheral vascular interventions, radiology, or a related specialty.
