- Travel to Levy locations via field service truck or air.
- Inspect mobile equipment.
- Operate and inspect equipment to assess malfunctions.
- Use computerized diagnostic systems, including CAT ET and Cummins, to help identify malfunctions.
- Recommend repair processes and parts to order.
- Participate in training and developing less skilled mechanics.
- Operate and maintain the field service truck.
- Dismantle and reassemble heavy equipment to access areas of concern.
- Examine parts for excessive wear and determine whether they can be reused.
- Repair, replace, clean, and lubricate parts and components as necessary.
- Diagnose and repair hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Weld, cut, and fabricate equipment and components.
- Complete maintenance checklists and test repaired equipment to ensure repairs are completed accurately.
- Recommend equipment repairs by outside sources when necessary.
- Maintain records and reporting.
- Meet customer service requirements.
- Comply with safety regulations and policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned by a supervisor.
