Responsibilities
  • Participate in a comprehensive learning experience focused on sales, agency operations, and territory management.
  • Partner with Territory Representatives and Sales Relationship Specialists to support agency development and sales initiatives.
  • Participate in virtual and in-person agency visits to gain exposure to agency operations and relationship management.
  • Learn how agencies write business, grow profitability, and are compensated for their performance.
  • Support sales programs, agency engagement initiatives, and producer recognition activities.
  • Assist with the Nationwide Rewards program, including program administration, performance evaluation, and communications.
  • Analyze sales and performance information to identify trends, growth opportunities, and return-on-investment insights.
  • Utilize Salesforce, AI technologies, and reporting resources to support sales and distribution initiatives.
  • Learn and participate in Lean Six Sigma problem-solving and continuous improvement activities.
  • Collaborate with sales team members, business partners, and fellow interns on projects and strategic initiatives.
  • Complete a capstone project that identifies an opportunity within the Sales organization and present recommendations to Personal Lines Sales leadership.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Nationwide hits record $73.2B in sales as insurer enters 100th year

Nationwide has reported record financial results for 2025, entering its centennial year with total adjusted capital of $32.8 billion, the highest in its 100-year history. The insurer achieved $73.2 billion in sales and premiums, up 7% from 2024, marking its fifth consecutive year of record growth. Net operating income rose 37% to $4.3 billion, driven by strong underwriting and investment performance across its diversified portfolio.
