- Bachelor's degree in Business, Occupational Health, Safety Administration/Management, Transportation, Logistics, or a similar field of study or equivalent combination of education and work experience
- 3 to 5 years of extensive knowledge of DOT Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations and requirements

- Conducting audits, providing training, data analysis, trend reports, dashboard updates, and inspections of private fleets to monitor compliance and DOT compliance audits
- Assisting with the implementation of DOT medical surveillance and audit programs
- Developing and delivering employee fleet-related training
- Conducting inspections, surveys, assessments, audits, and investigations
- Preparing and effectively presenting comprehensive written and oral reports to the Senior Leadership Team
- Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with associates, administration, professionals, line employees, outside agencies and contractors, and the public
- Assisting in managing documentation and regulatory research to ensure full compliance with DOT and FMCSA rules
- Partnership with the Safety Director to develop and consequently implement/roll out fleet safety systems, policies, and routines
- Working closely with field management to develop and execute continuous improvement initiatives and projects
- Ensuring full utilization of Donlen telematics/Geotab features and data to optimize compliance with federal regulations
- Leveraging telematics data and insights to analyze causes of accidents, driver behavior, and near misses
- Communicating information effectively within all business channels of the organization
- Participating in EHS audits and inspections of facilities across North America
- Remaining current and up to date on all DOT regulations and overseeing all aspects of compliance efforts
- Overseeing driver qualification (DQ) process
- Working with HR to ensure random drug & alcohol program is followed
- Monitoring renewals for all required fleet permits/licenses/registrations
- Administering driver scorecard, safety analytics, and video
