Requirements
  • A high school diploma is required.
  • At least 3–5 years of experience in relational sales, preferably in assisted living, independent living, hospitality, or healthcare settings.
  • A proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales goals.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and exercise initiative and good judgment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work evenings and/or weekends when needed.
  • Professional ethics, a positive attitude, and strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to motivate others and work within a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and customer relationship management software.
  • A valid driver's license.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement community sales and marketing strategies and tactics consistent with company objectives.
  • Design, implement, and facilitate the community's annual marketing plan with input and support from the Executive Director, corporate marketing, and operations teams.
  • Develop and manage the lead base, responding to telephone inquiries remotely and in real time.
  • Maintain or improve community occupancy and revenue production in accordance with business and marketing plans.
  • Conduct scheduled and walk-in tours with prospective residents or interested parties.
  • Provide sales activity reports documenting lead status, closing needs, and next steps.
  • Follow up with potential residents, referral sources, and interested parties.
  • Maintain the community's Yardi customer relationship management software accurately and promptly.
  • Supervise, direct, and motivate sales team members.
  • Establish relationships among residents, department heads, and staff to maintain resident satisfaction.
  • Understand community care regulations to ensure appropriate placement and educate prospects.
  • Represent the community at outreach events, networking meetings, trade shows, and other community functions.
  • Monitor promotional-item inventory and assess print advertising needs.
  • Manage social media accounts.
  • Manage the marketing budget and provide input and accurate pricing information for advertising, directories, social media advertising, event costs, association memberships, and other marketing and sales costs.
Desired Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Experience in assisted living, independent living, hospitality, or healthcare settings.
