About the Company

Manitoulin Group of Companies

Moves freight and manages international shipping

The Manitoulin Group of Companies moves freight for businesses across Canada and between Canada and the United States, and arranges international shipping. Its trucking company, Manitoulin Transport, carries partial and full truckloads through Canadian terminals and works with partner carriers for US deliveries. Shippers pay transportation charges for services that include rush deliveries, rail-and-truck moves, and temperature-controlled or dangerous goods. Sister companies provide warehousing, crating, customs clearance, and air and ocean freight forwarding, letting clients arrange several stages of a shipment through the group. Its roots date to a grocery wholesaler incorporated in 1953, which moved into trucking in 1960.
