Requirements
  • Pre-construction scheduling, logistics, and planning.

  • Budgeting coordination with the project management team.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and/or large or complex projects.
  • Management and coordination of field teams, including trade partners and owner vendors.
  • Coordination of plans and specifications with architects and engineers.
  • Maintenance and management of the company's safety culture and Occupational Safety and Health Administration standards.
  • Ability to promote teamwork and open communication on the project site.
  • Ability to recognize and resolve on-site challenges and issues.
  • Must mentor and train field personnel and help support and develop talent.
  • Participation in potential client interviews.
  • Six to fifteen years of experience managing commercial interior, healthcare, and/or mission-critical projects; alternatively, a bachelor's degree with five or more years of such experience, or a master's degree with three or more years of such experience.
  • Experience managing all aspects of field operations, including scheduling, quality control, and coordinating trade partners.
  • Solid background in construction trades and technical knowledge.
  • Proficiency with scheduling software.
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities
  • Participate actively in requests for proposal responses, including developing presentations and participating in pitches.
  • Manage pre-construction scheduling, logistics, and planning.
  • Create, maintain, and update accurate and detailed project schedules and weekly field updates.
  • Manage field teams, trade partners, and owner vendors through proactive communication.
  • Proactively recognize and work to resolve on-site challenges and issues for timely resolution with minimal cost impact.
  • Promote the company's safety culture and Occupational Safety and Health Administration standards, and lead and document safety meetings.
  • Maintain project documentation on site.
  • Manage the closeout process, obtain required inspections, ensure timely completion of punch-list work, oversee successful equipment commissioning, and train the owner and/or owner vendors.
  • Review general conditions and labor requirements with the project management team while maintaining awareness of financial commitments throughout the project.
  • Become proficient in and use the company's established systems and technology.
  • Participate in business development and client relationship management by attending industry events, networking, and developing relationships with clients and designers.
  • Attend career fairs and client and industry events.
  • Contribute to company growth by participating in the intern program and mentoring interns, project engineers, and assistant project managers.
  • Serve as a professional role model for interns, project engineers, and assistant superintendents.
  • Supervise an assistant superintendent, project engineer, field assistant, and/or intern when assigned.
