Requirements
  • 7+ years of engineering experience, with 3+ years in AI/ML or security testing and 2+ years in evaluation/red teaming
  • Deep understanding of LLM-based agents, RAG architectures, and agentic AI systems (not model training)
  • Strong programming background with hands-on experience building evaluation tooling, harnesses, or automated assessment workflows for AI agents and solutions
  • Proven ability to design evaluation methodologies and frameworks for probabilistic AI systems, covering both technical measures and operational processes
  • Experience embedding evaluation, assurance, or control frameworks into software delivery lifecycles and release governance, ideally within regulated environments
  • Leadership experience building or managing cross-functional teams and driving adoption of standards across multiple AI products or solution teams
  • Ability to translate safety, risk, and compliance requirements into practical evaluation criteria, controls, and release recommendations for production AI solutions
Responsibilities
  • Lead the team that defines, builds, and evolves FNZ's AI evaluations framework across both technical components and operating processes, aligned to FNZ's six-pillar framework (Task Performance, Safety & Compliance, Efficiency, Groundedness & Reasoning, Robustness, Suitability)
  • Establish evaluation standards, methodologies, tooling, and governance processes, and lead implementation of the framework across AI solutions by embedding it into FNZ's SDLC as mandatory release gates
  • Represent evaluations function in AI Governance Committee, providing risk assessments and release recommendations
  • Build, mentor, and lead a team of evaluation specialists responsible for developing the framework and partnering with AI solution teams to implement it consistently across the estate
  • Design and execute complex evaluations for high-risk AI agents; lead red teaming exercises for critical deployments
  • Communicate evaluation findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders; influence product roadmaps

This investment provides the financial strength to support the continued delivery of FNZ's transformation programme as it executes on its long-term business plan to drive profitability. The investment comes from some of the world's most sophisticated investors, including La Caisse, Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPP Investments), Generation Investment Management and Motive Partners in support of FNZ's continued transformation and long-term business plan. This new capital will be used to invest in its technology platform, people, products and capture the significant market opportunity ahead. In the past year, the Group has continued to strengthen its franchise and sharpen its focus on its core wealth management technology business serving large financial institutions. FNZ has won and extended a number of key client partnerships across its core geographies and introduced FNZ Select, a premium proposition providing clients with enhanced service levels, advanced capabilities and additional platform support. The Group also agreed a number of significant disposals, including the sale of FNZ Bank in Germany, its Luxembourg-based fund platform, IFSAM, and its core banking software platform in Switzerland. FNZ appoints Heukshorst as head of Client Management and Business Development. 28 August 2026 UK Reporter: Zarah Choudhary FNZ, an end-to-end global wealth management platform, has appointed Maarten Heukshorst as head of Client Management and Business Development, UK. Heukshorst brings more than 25 years of senior commercial and executive leadership experience across financial services. He has held senior roles including chief commercial officer at Centralis Group, CEO at Custodiex, and chief commercial officer for BNY Mellon Pershing EMEA, with experience in commercial strategy, client relationships, and business growth. In his role, Heukshorst will work closely with clients and colleagues across the UK business to deliver the highest standards of client service and help support the next phase of growth and development. FNZ appoints Stephen Welch as group chair to drive strategy and growth

FNZ has appointed Stephen Welch as group chair. Welch will work with the board and senior management on strategy, transformation and long-term growth plans at the wealth management technology firm. Gregor Stewart, who has served as group chair since 2024, will remain on the board as chair of the risk committee and become senior independent director. FNZ Group CEO Blythe Masters said Welch brings significant experience working with boards and leadership teams of regulated, global financial services businesses. His track record in driving transformation and operational excellence will be valuable as FNZ executes its strategy. Separately this month, Advent and an investor group including HarbourVest Partners agreed to buy FNZ Bank from FNZ.

FNZ agrees sale of FNZ Bank to Advent. FNZ, the leading global wealth management platform, today announced that it has entered into an agreement to sell FNZ Bank to Advent, and a consortium including HarbourVest Partners ("HarbourVest"). Completion of the transaction is expected to occur in the second half of 2027, subject to customary regulatory and other approvals. The divestment is consistent with FNZ's strategy of focusing on its core wealth management technology business and serving large financial institutions at scale. The transaction supports FNZ's long-term growth ambitions by reinforcing its positioning as a technology platform provider for wealth businesses globally, including in Germany where FNZ Bank remains a key client. Following completion of the transaction, FNZ and FNZ Bank intend to continue their long-standing partnership, leveraging FNZ's technology capabilities to support the bank's continued growth and client offering. FNZ will continue to partner with wealth management institutions across continental Europe, including Germany, Switzerland and the Nordics, as they modernise their technology platforms.
