About the job
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- Five or more years of industry experience are required.
- Hands-on laboratory experience in HPLC purification and/or small molecule synthesis, cGMP clean room, oligonucleotide synthesis, or mRNA is required.
- Experience drafting, editing, implementing, and executing Standard Operating Procedures is required.
- Ability to mentor other team members on processes they have become proficient at executing is required.
- Produce research and clinical grade components and products.
- Prepare for production by reviewing the production schedule, studying and clarifying specifications, calculating requirements, and assembling materials and supplies.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following standard operating procedures.
- Write and execute batch records, author and review Standard Operating Procedures, and maintain quality documents associated with manufacturing.
- Keep equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, and calling for repairs.
- Document production by accurately completing forms, reports, logs, and equipment and batch records according to Good Documentation Practices.
- Train and mentor new team members.
- Onboard and author procedures for new equipment.
- May collect, record, and analyze data.
- Interpret key process bottlenecks and implement process improvements to minimize bottlenecks.
- Perform characterization assays centered on developmental improvements.
- Transfer developmental improvements to the manufacturing team through training and technical transfer.
- Perform other functions and duties as required.
- An Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Science is preferred.
