About the job
- Valid Commercial Driver's License Class A or B with a clean driving record.
- Knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations and safety standards.
- Ability to read and understand work orders and maps, and perform basic arithmetic.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as necessary.
- Ability to pass a background check, motor vehicle record review, and drug screening.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly and occasionally heavier loads.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
- Work with the highway striping crew to install thermoplastic, waterborne paint, and other pavement-marking materials.
- Operate pavement-marking equipment, including airless paint machines, thermoplastic hand liners, and grinders.
- Operate company vehicles safely and efficiently in compliance with Department of Transportation regulations and company standards.
- Transport pavement-marking equipment and crew to and from job sites.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and complete related documentation.
- Assist with setting up and operating pavement-marking equipment as needed.
- Maintain equipment and vehicle cleanliness and ensure proper loading.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures while on the road and at job sites.
- Work a Monday-through-Friday schedule, with possible night and weekend shifts; work overtime and travel as needed.
- Experience operating heavy trucks and/or pavement-marking equipment.
