Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Accountancy or equivalent, or qualification as an ACCA or Chartered Accountant.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in an established audit firm or a bank's finance department.
  • Experience with MAS and Banking Act regulations and reporting is a plus.
  • Be well versed with the latest FRS developments.
  • Have a good understanding of internal controls and data governance.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Excel and conversant with computerized environments, and be able to add value by improving work processes.
  • Have strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
Responsibilities
  • Join the team in handling Head Office and regulatory reporting and submissions.
  • Prepare and submit reports and returns.
  • Assist with the preparation of statutory accounts and tax computations for RHB Bank Singapore Branch and subsidiaries.
  • Report to regulatory and statutory bodies.
  • Support businesses as a subject matter expert on Head Office and regulatory implications.
  • Assist in reviewing processes to mitigate operational risks and high-risk audit points.
  • Ensure policy documents are regularly updated to reflect current market conditions.
  • Provide support to the Team Lead and Head of Department.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing and financial reporting.
  • Prepare and check statutory accounts for RHB Singapore Branch.
  • Prepare and check reports for submission to Head Office.
  • Review and update Finance risk governance and controls.
  • Prepare regulatory returns for submission to MAS.
  • Prepare and check tax computations and tax-related submissions to regulators.
  • Advise other business units on financial accounting matters.
  • Participate in new initiatives and facilitate implementation of new products and systems.
  • Improve the team's financial reporting governance and suggest efficiency gains.
  • Participate in user acceptance testing, new product launches, and testing.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with MAS and Banking Act regulations and reporting is a plus.
  • Relevant experience in an established audit firm or a bank's finance department is preferred.
