About the job
- A master's degree in counseling or a directly related field is required.
- At least two years of direct supervisory experience are required.
- Professional counseling licensure as an LPC, LMFT, or LCSW is required.
- Experience providing crisis intervention and intensive therapeutic services is required.
- Experience with a 72-hour M-1 hold and its associated criteria is required.
- A valid driver's license and a good driving record maintained during employment are required.
- Oversee, coordinate, and provide professional leadership in the provision of clinical crisis response services in accordance with program objectives, clinical guidelines, procedures, standards, and company goals.
- Provide oversight to care navigators for resource allocations, service screeners, and crisis interventions.
- Consult on and perform mental health evaluations (M1) as needed.
- Ensure accuracy, quality, and efficiency standards for medical records and consumer care navigation services, and advocate for appropriate consumer services.
- Identify, implement, and monitor customer service standards to meet internal and external customer needs professionally.
- Develop long- and short-term team goals consistent with program and organizational goals.
- Train and evaluate staff to maintain team quality, encourage growth and development, and build awareness of cultural diversity.
- Participate in the selection process for internal and external program staff candidates.
- Conduct timely audits to ensure compliance with organizational goals, policies, and state and other regulatory policies regarding clinical care and documentation.
- Provide direct consumer consultation and care using evidence-based practice models, and develop, evaluate, and modify programs as required.
- Complete performance evaluations and provide coaching and counseling to ensure satisfactory employee performance, identifying when discipline is appropriate.
- Oversee compliance with standards of care set by licensing, accrediting, and oversight agencies.
- Oversee assigned staff regarding clinical outcomes and productivity standards, and take corrective action as needed.
- Attend management meetings and serve on appropriate work groups or committees to advance organizational goals.
- Represent the programs and organization with consultants, consumers, families, and the community, and project a positive image to agencies and the public.
- Pursue professional growth through center in-services and conferences, and conduct consultation and education functions as indicated.
- Promote cooperative working relationships and a positive team atmosphere.
- Interface with local and state policymakers, community leaders, and providers in the treatment focus area to assess needs and develop and implement programming as needed.
- Provide consumer care that recognizes human potential, is empathic, demonstrates unconditional positive regard, and promotes safety, comfort, and a therapeutic environment.
- CAT, CAS, or LAC credentials are preferred.
