- Drafting knowledge acquired through college, vocational, or technical school training resulting in an associate degree or equivalent is required.
- Previous drafting experience is preferred.
- Ability to read, interpret, and analyze information and instructions from materials such as technical reports.
- Ability to read, interpret, and convert units of measure.
- Ability to solve frequent and unique problems using creativity and judgment amid changing conditions.
- Ability to complete tasks with latitude to determine work required well in advance of activities.
- Knowledge of or ability to use Excel, Word, AutoCAD, and calipers.
- Willingness to learn new computer-aided design software as necessary.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to complete basic mathematical calculations are advantageous.
- Solid understanding of drafting techniques and familiarity with engineering terminology and various drawing programs are required.
- Use computer-aided manufacturing equipment to support Project Managers.
- Prepare routine layouts, detailed drawings, sketches, and diagrams with all views and dimensions necessary for manufacture.
- Make copies of drawings.
- Maintain database information regarding drawing changes.
- Refer questions and problems to the CAD Team Lead or Casework Manager.
