Requirements
  • At least 3 years of professional experience.
  • 15 years of full-time education.
  • SAP Business Technology Platform application development experience.
  • Experience spanning SAP Business Technology Platform architecture, administration basics, solution design, and frontend/backend development.
  • Hands-on full-stack implementation experience involving backend services, APIs, data models, and user-interface integration.
  • Strong software engineering fundamentals, including clean code, testing, continuous integration and continuous delivery orientation, and moving prototypes into production.
  • Ability to implement large language model-integrated features with tool calling, orchestration, memory or state handling, and safe action boundaries.
  • Ability to build retrieval-grounded experiences over enterprise content and APIs with clear fallback behaviors.
  • Ability to create evaluation loops using offline test sets and online monitoring.
  • Experience using Git-based source-control and collaboration workflows and Agile/Scrum delivery models.
Responsibilities
  • Develop, deploy, and manage cloud applications on SAP Business Technology Platform across platform fundamentals, administration touchpoints, solution design, frontend development, and backend development.
  • Develop backend services and application programming interfaces using Node.js-based service patterns, including create, read, update, and delete operations, business logic, and validations.
  • Expose backend services for frontend consumption.
  • Build responsive user-interface components using SAPUI5 XML views, controllers, and the model-view-controller approach.
  • Integrate user interfaces with backend application programming interfaces for data display and write-back flows.
  • Design database artifacts and data models, including tables, views, entities, and relationships.
  • Connect applications to SAP HANA-based persistence patterns used in SAP Business Technology Platform application development.
  • Configure subaccounts, service instances, roles, development spaces, and connectivity artifacts such as destinations for integrating external APIs and databases.
  • Package and deploy applications using multi-target application deployment artifacts where applicable.
  • Implement large language model-integrated features in SAP Business Technology Platform applications, including assistants in workflows, tool calling, orchestration, memory or state handling, and safe action boundaries.
  • Build retrieval-grounded experiences over enterprise content and application programming interfaces with appropriate fallback behaviors.
  • Create offline test sets and online monitoring to measure AI behavior changes and detect regressions.
  • Use Git-based workflows and Agile/Scrum delivery models.
  • Debug and resolve backend, database, and service-exposure issues during full-stack delivery.

  • Practical exposure to SAP Business Application Studio in full-stack build contexts.
  • Familiarity with BTP Application Development structured learning paths and bootcamp-style enablement.
  • Awareness of SAP BTP platform building blocks and guidelines referenced in the SAP BTP Developer’s Guide.

Accenture drops LearnVantage focus, shifts $9B to cybersecurity and mid-market expansion

Accenture is shifting its growth strategy, de-emphasising LearnVantage, a learning and training business it built and promoted heavily in 2024. The company mentioned LearnVantage only once on its June 2026 earnings call, listing it amongst AI enablers rather than highlighting it as a standalone growth driver. Meanwhile, Accenture is redirecting resources toward cybersecurity, which has grown from $700 million in fiscal 2016 to $10 billion in fiscal 2025. The company is acquiring a majority stake in an operational technology security specialist, alongside two smaller firms, combining them into a platform for critical infrastructure. These assets generate $208 million in annual recurring revenue, growing at 48%. Accenture's acquisition budget for fiscal 2026 is approximately $9 billion against $73.1 billion in trailing twelve-month revenue. The company has also launched Accenture Edge, targeting mid-market companies. The stock is down 24.3% over the past year.

Accenture acquires Dutch SAP partner McCoy to boost mid-market AI and ERP capabilities

Accenture has agreed to acquire McCoy, a Dutch SAP transformation partner specialising in mid-market companies. Upon closing, McCoy will join Accenture Edge, the firm's mid-market business serving companies with annual revenues between $300 million and $3 billion. Founded in 2012, McCoy operates from the Netherlands with offices in Spain and the Philippines. The company employs over 380 professionals who design, implement and manage SAP solutions across ERP, data and business applications. McCoy holds SAP Gold Partner status and serves clients in high-tech, manufacturing, public sector, utilities and retail. The acquisition will strengthen Accenture Edge's position in the EMEA mid-market whilst expanding SAP modernisation capabilities in the Netherlands. The deal is subject to regulatory approvals. Financial terms were not disclosed.
