Requirements

A high school diploma or Technical School Degree.
Two to five years of responsible experience in building and mechanical equipment maintenance and repair, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience or ability to learn flat and vertical welding through on-the-job training.
Basic electrical knowledge regarding low-voltage controls and motors up to and including 480-amp, three-phase systems, and the ability to understand, wear, and care for required personal protective equipment in electrically hazardous environments.
Basic mechanical knowledge and experience with gas and diesel motors.
Knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration regulations.
Gearbox rebuilding, hydraulic and pneumatic experience, and overhead crane experience are required.

Responsibilities

Perform maintenance and repair operations to keep plant, equipment, machinery, and tools in good operating condition, with a heavy focus on mechanical skills.
Perform mechanical and electrical duties as needed.
Schedule periodic and required maintenance and repairs on property and equipment.
Maintain and perform facility repairs.
Inspect, repair, install, modify, and maintain three-phase electrical systems, circuits, and other mechanical, electrical, and related equipment.
Weld, torch cut, and fabricate as needed.
Set and maintain preventive maintenance schedules for equipment.
Diagnose motor and drive failures.
Maintain and repair horizontal steel-cutting band saws.
Install industrial equipment.
Prepare and maintain work orders related to preventive and routine maintenance of equipment, machinery, company property, and building repairs.
Adhere to safety practices and procedures.

Desired Qualifications

Appropriate mechanical and industrial electrical skills are preferred.
Experience as a Maintenance Technician is preferred.
Stick welding certification is a plus.

Job Function

Responsible for a wide range of duties from mechanical to electrical depending on needs.

Required Skills

Experience as a Maintenance Technicianpreferred

Compensation Range

The anticipated compensation for this position is USD $25.00/Hr. - USD $28.00/Hr. depending on experience, qualifications, and location.
