Responsibilities
  • Develop new and expand existing client relationships by initiating business development activities, proactively reviewing clients’ current and changing financial needs, and cross-selling products and services.
  • Grow and maintain a profitable book of business consisting of loans and deposits to achieve individual and market goals.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of clients’ needs based on the review and analysis of personal and financial data.
  • Qualify prospects by collecting and analyzing financial and related data to determine the general creditworthiness of the prospect and the merits of specific loan requests.
  • Prepare and oversee the completion of loan approval requirements, including careful underwriting of loans so that their structure meets the needs of the borrower and the bank, and obtain appropriate approval for credit under consideration.
  • Recommend and negotiate the terms under which credit will be extended, including pricing, fees, costs, repayment method and schedule, and collateral requirements.
  • Manage the portfolio, including monitoring credit quality such as past-due credits, non-performing credits, credit exceptions, covenant compliance, and credit exceptions within the active portfolio.
  • Actively participate in and represent First Financial Bank in community, civic, and professional organizations.
  • Refer loans to the loan committee for approval.
  • Understand clients’ financial goals, provide credible advice, recommend products that fit their holistic needs, understand clients’ business priorities, and refer them to other lines of business as appropriate.
  • Collaborate with Bankers, Financial Center Managers, Retail Leaders, Credit/Underwriting, Loan Processing and Documentation teams, and Bank senior management.
  • Participate in bank marketing and sales promotions, contribute to initiatives and programs designed to promote organizational strategic priorities, and comply with bank, loan, and regulatory guidelines and policies.
Desired Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience working in Capital Markets and/or within the Middle Market space ($75MM+).
  • Experience in Structured Finance, Asset Based Lending (ABL), ESOP, and/or leading syndicated transactions.
