Requirements
  • A degree-level education or equivalent experience in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or experience as an engineer in the Australian Defence Force specializing in Communications Electronics, RADAR, Instrumentation, or Avionics.
  • At least 2 years of customer-facing service engineering experience within the medical equipment industry is ideal.
  • Strong information technology skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel frequently according to business needs.
  • A full Australian driver's license is required.
  • Police checks and a military clearance check are required.
Responsibilities
  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance activities.
  • Conduct technical and non-technical inspections and provide engineering support to the customer.
  • Represent Philips within the project while ensuring customer satisfaction and meeting or exceeding on-site activities.
  • Execute technical service for requests, problems, and planned service activities.
  • Document service records, including diagnostics, resolutions, test procedures, and case status, using the service management system.
  • Participate in customer escalations, safety and non-safety complaints, and feedback processes, and manage associated action plans through completion.
  • Provide biomedical engineering support for all products covered by Philips’ workshare in JP2060.
  • Perform maintenance activities, Level One repairs, and problem solving across products from different vendors.
  • Lead and support technical escalations through resolution while keeping stakeholders updated according to company processes.
  • Maintain technical knowledge through ongoing training and development and stay current with technologies relevant to the area of focus.
  • Work reasonable additional hours outside business hours when necessary to perform the role effectively.
  • Perform functionality tests, electrical safety testing, and additional technical or non-technical inspections.
  • Deliver service from the JP2060 Support Centre at Bundamba and travel to defense establishments across Australia.
