About the job
- Must be willing to travel 35–50%.
- Must be authorized to work for any United States employer.
- Have 3–6 years of demonstrated experience in data analysis, data manipulation, and decision support.
- Understand and apply relational database concepts.
- Have experience or exposure to Extract, Transform, Load (ETL).
- Possess strong SQL skills.
- Be skilled at completing technical design through iterative mockups.
- Have high proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word and Excel.
- Have experience with ETL tools and procedures such as Informatica and Pentaho.
- Have prior experience working in the Salesforce.com cloud.
- Be able to manage simultaneous workflows while maintaining quality output and meeting deadlines.
- Be able to learn new technologies with little assistance.
- Be able to perform ad hoc analysis and maintain clear, comprehensive documentation of decision-making, data preparation, and processes.
- Develop an in-depth understanding of the interrelationships of data and multiple data domains.
- Create thorough documentation artifacts and maintain them for the duration of the project.
- Identify and document data migration paths and processes.
- Maintain an industry and technical knowledge base and facilitate and maintain industry relationships.
- Provide customer-focused quality service.
- Support assigned systems through the transition period.
- Perform standard queries to ensure data quality, identify data inconsistencies and missing data, and resolve issues as needed.
- Standardize data naming, data definitions, and data modeling.
- Perform data extraction, storage, manipulation, processing, and analysis.
- Collect, profile, collate, and map appropriate data for new or existing solutions and ongoing data analysis activities.
- Interpret customers' functional and information needs and translate them into functional or data requirements and process models.
- Perform other duties relevant to the role and customer needs.
- Openness to learning new skills and software as necessary.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate at different levels of the organization.
