Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, communication, marketing, or a related field, or 2 years’ experience in underwriting or lending.
  • Professional phone presence and verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet Explorer.
Responsibilities
  • Process new loan applications.
  • Gather data to determine and evaluate credit risk.
  • Underwrite in adherence with company policies and procedures.
  • Communicate with dealers to answer questions, resolve issues, and provide information.
  • Develop underwriting skills and achieve higher levels of decision authority with management.
  • Maintain knowledge of current compliance and lending regulations.
  • Develop understanding of company stipulation policy and assist with stipulation review as needed.
  • Maintain existing business and develop new business by building dealer relationships.
