About the job
- Education and/or experience in Recreation/Activation or a related field.
- Good working knowledge of recreational programming and techniques.
- Experience working in hospitality and event planning.
- Strong customer service skills and experience.
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Outlook.
- Design a creative activities program that meets Residents' individual needs and interests, including developing a monthly activities calendar.
- Assist with department goals and communicate the programs and processes required to achieve them.
- Supervise and retain volunteers.
- Identify and develop opportunities to build relationships with other professionals, community partners, and organizations.
- Coordinate Resident transportation to and from events outside the Residence.
- Oversee seasonal celebrations.
- Support participation in in-service activities, meetings, and committees.
- Implement programmed activities.
- Monitor Resident participation rates and encourage attendance.
