Requirements
  • Applicants must hold a Wisconsin medical license by the start date of the position.
  • Applicants must have completed residency in family medicine or medicine/pediatrics with adequate primary care experience.
  • An MD or DO, or equivalent, is required.
  • Applicants must submit a curriculum vitae including specialty certifications and activities, especially those in complementary and integrative health modalities.
  • Applicants must submit a personal statement of 1,000 words or less addressing their background and interests, reasons for applying, past experiences with integrative health or complementary and integrative health treatment modalities, and intended professional use of the training.
  • Applicants must submit a short answer of 500 words or less explaining how integrative medicine can serve all people.
  • Applicants must provide three letters of recommendation, including one from their current program director or current supervisor if in practice.
  • Applicants must maintain eligibility to work in the United States for the full duration of the appointment and provide proof of work authorization and eligibility to work.
Responsibilities
  • Participate in administrative and committee work supporting the clinical and scholarly missions of UW Health and the School of Medicine and Public Health.
  • Teach medical students, residents, and fellows.
  • Provide clinical care, including patient care at Yahara Integrative Family Medicine Clinic and/or Science Drive Medical Center, Wingra Clinic consultations, and precepting as determined by the Fellowship Director.
  • Conduct research as part of the position.
