  • 7+ years of full product life cycle experience
  • 5+ years of P&L management and pricing experience
  • 5+ years of creating written docs for development of new products experience
  • 5+ years of enterprise security product experience
  • 5+ years of product management in the cloud computing technology space experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, finance, or economics
  • Experience in taking a product from conception & definition phase through engineering design and taking it to market
  • Experience delivering large-scale SaaS, PaaS or LaaS products where you are responsible for the full product lifecycle, from concept through GTM
Responsibilities
  • Define and own product strategy, feature design, and technology approach for an externally-offered service.
  • Deliver independently with limited guidance, managing both development and business aspects alongside a dedicated engineering team.
  • Serve on cross-functional roadmap items with End User Messaging, aligning priorities across shared customers and complementary channel capabilities.
  • Set the strategic direction for the service—shaping customer adoption decisions, engineering priorities, vendor and partner relationships, and cross-organizational alignment across Marketing, Business Development, and Sales.
  • Serve as the Voice of the Customer. Define the service vision (PR/FAQ), business strategy (branding, economic modeling, pricing, forecasting), and technology strategy.
  • Generalize requirements across diverse customer personas and determine minimum viable product scope—discerning essential features from those that can be triaged or omitted.
  • Make smart trade-offs balancing time, effort, and features. Align stakeholders across complex scenarios. Engage at every point in the service lifecycle, owning launches and post-launch performance.
  • Perform on-call for the service and own critical incident response through remediation.
  • Drive engineering and go-to-market commitments across Solutions Architecture, Business Development, and Sales.
  • Produce clear, concise documents—PR/FAQs, technical specifications, architecture designs.
  • Lead strategic discussions (vision, narratives, MBR/QBR) with internal leaders and external decision-makers.
  • Contribute to Operational Planning (OP1) and pricing documents.
  • You'll partner with builders across Amazon to define how businesses communicate with their customers at massive scale, shaping services that process billions of messages for customers worldwide and also for Amazon's retail properties.
  • On any given day, you might lead a design review with engineers on a new deliverability feature, align with Solutions Architecture on an enterprise customer's integration, or drive a strategic discussion with leadership on your service's three-year vision.
  • You'll write PR/FAQs that define what's next, make trade-off decisions that ship the right thing faster, and own outcomes from concept through launch and beyond.
  • You'll work with technologies including generative AI and agentic experiences to reimagine messaging workflows, rebuild legacy processes, and create entirely new capabilities.
  • This role demands curiosity, ownership, and a bias for action. You'll operate with autonomy, move fast alongside world-class engineers, and directly influence how AWS customers reach their end users.
Desired Qualifications
  • Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
  • Experience working within teams delivering software products and features using agile methodologies

Amazon vs. Coupang: Which e-commerce stock offers better growth potential in 2026?

Amazon and Coupang both offer compelling e-commerce opportunities, but with different risk profiles. Amazon generated $716.9 billion in revenue in FY 2025, up 12.4%, with a net margin of 10.8% and free cash flow of $11.2 billion. Its diversified model spans retail, AWS cloud services, digital advertising, and streaming. Coupang, South Korea's e-commerce leader, posted $34.5 billion in revenue, growing 14.1%. However, its net margin was just 0.6% as it prioritises market expansion over profitability. The company is replicating its rapid-delivery model in Taiwan. Amazon offers proven profitability and diversification. Coupang delivers faster growth but remains early-stage, with thin margins and geographic concentration. For conservative investors, Amazon provides stability. Growth-focused investors may favour Coupang's expansion potential despite higher risk.

Amazon adds free cloud gaming to Fire TV via PHYND's ad-supported service

Amazon is adding PHYND's free, ad-supported cloud gaming service to Fire TV in beta, giving users access to streamed games without consoles, downloads, or subscriptions. The partnership expands Fire TV's capabilities beyond video streaming whilst lowering barriers to entry for casual gamers. PHYND, based in Stamford, Connecticut, was co-founded by Andre Swanston, former CEO of Tru Optik. The startup raised $10 million in an oversubscribed seed round in February 2025. The service previously launched on Samsung Gaming Hub in May and LG Smart TVs in July. For Amazon, the partnership adds gaming functionality without requiring in-house content development. The model's viability depends on whether free gaming can attract sufficient users and advertising revenue to offset cloud-computing costs. Key factors include user engagement, latency, game selection, and advertiser demand.

Amazon's Texas data centre set to become America's biggest polluter with 33M tons CO2 yearly

Amazon is constructing a natural gas power plant in West Texas permitted to emit up to 33 million tonnes of CO2 annually, potentially double the output of America's current dirtiest power station. The facility will exclusively serve an adjacent Amazon Web Services AI data centre. Developed by Pacifico Energy with Amazon financing, the plant features 35 gas turbines and up to 7.65 gigawatts of capacity. The permitted emission ceiling of 33 million tonnes compares with roughly 16 million tonnes from Alabama's James H. Miller Jr. coal plant, currently the nation's highest emitter. Satellite imagery from July 2026 shows active land-clearing, with construction permits filed in August 2026. First power is targeted for Q1 2027. The facility will operate independently of Texas's ERCOT grid. Amazon's company-wide carbon emissions rose 16% last year, challenging its 2040 net-zero commitment.
