  • A master's degree in American Sign Language, or a master's degree in any field with at least 18 graduate credits in American Sign Language.
  • All degrees must be from accredited institutions or internationally reputable and recognized institutions.
  • Applicants must provide a curriculum vitae or resume, cover letter, and unofficial transcripts.
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check is required.
  • Applicants must be U.S. citizens or lawfully authorized to work in the United States.
Responsibilities
  • Provide effective instruction in the assigned discipline to meet students' educational needs and specified learning objectives.
  • Teach assigned courses on or off campus, during the day or evening, following official syllabi and using approved textbooks and learning materials.
  • Meet all scheduled classes regularly, on time, and for their full duration.
  • Teach the learning objectives and outcomes for assigned courses.
  • Evaluate student performance and assign grades.
  • Arrange appointments with students as needed.
  • Arrange with the department chair or associate dean for class coverage when absent.
  • Meet deadlines for submitting grades, assessments, and other required student information.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

  • Teaching experience in the community college setting.
