A Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree in a related field and 6 years of specific Maritime Operations Center systems experience, or an Associate of Arts or Associate of Science degree in a related field and 8 years of specific Maritime Operations Center systems experience; 12 years of specific Maritime Operations Center systems experience may substitute for formal education.
Subject matter expertise in Global Command & Control System Maritime & Joint, Maritime Security Safety Information System, Maritime Command Control Information System, Automatic Identification System/Maritime Air Surface Surveillance, Missile Defense Planning System, Falcon View, Stone Ghost, Distributed Common Ground System-Navy, Radiant Mercury, Joint Automated Deep Operations Coordination System, Tomahawk Command Control System, Tomahawk Strike Network, and Strike Over Secret-Tunnel.
In-depth knowledge of compliance requirements for all managed systems.
In-depth knowledge of Defense Information Systems Agency Security Technical Implementation Guide requirements and their implementation and compliance process.
In-depth knowledge and experience with server and storage virtualization, including Microsoft Hypervisor and VMware vSphere.
In-depth knowledge and experience maintaining Linux servers and associated services.
An active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information clearance is required.
CompTIA Security+ certification is required.
Responsibilities
Provide systems operations and maintenance support for the full array of Maritime Operations Center tactical systems.
Manage the information systems required for Joint and Coalition operations within the CTF-80 area of responsibility.
Develop and update process guides and standard operating procedures.
Maintain the systems used to provide the Maritime Global Common Operational Picture of all Naval forces in support of U.S. Northern Command for Homeland Defense.
Provide 24x7 on-call technical support for operational support of the U.S. Fleet Forces Maritime Operations Center.

Program Description:
This role will be supporting the U.S. Fleet Forces Command (USFF) Headquarters (HQ) at USFF Norfolk, Virginia at a Government facility/site. As a member of their USFF Communications and Information Systems Division (N6) Support Team, you will significantly contribute to Navy Fleet Readiness and Homeland Security. The team is involved in information technology (IT) support tasks including but are not limited to Program Management support, Network Engineering support, Maritime Operations Center/Tactical Systems support, Video Teleconferencing and Audio/Visual support, Portal Management and Application Development support, Staff IT Business Process/IT Services support, Satellite Communications Planning support, Information Assurance (IA)/Certification and Accreditation support, Database Administration support, Communications Security/EKMS support, and general IT support, as well as maintenance, updating and enhancement of developed application/software.
