About the job
- A bachelor's degree in a related field and at least two years of experience in the healthcare or nonprofit field.
- In lieu of a bachelor's degree, a high school diploma or equivalent and at least seven years of experience in the healthcare or nonprofit field.
- Willingness to travel extensively throughout all boroughs.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet departmental needs.
- Conduct multiple site visits throughout the year to assess compliance with regulatory mandates.
- Participate in and lead internal audits to identify non-compliance and opportunities for improvement.
- Evaluate the quality of services provided to individuals served by the organization.
- Document audit findings and present comprehensive reports to senior management.
- Conduct follow-up audits to confirm corrective actions have been implemented and are effective.
- Help develop audit tools for various audits and reviews.
- Develop and deliver staff training programs on quality improvement processes and compliance requirements.
- Ensure training is consistent across departments and aligned with organizational goals.
- Provide technical assistance to staff regarding service delivery, documentation requirements, and compliance issues.
- Monitor adherence to organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain audit schedules and checklists.
- Develop, review, analyze, and improve internal controls and monitoring systems for programs and departments.
- Identify compliance risk areas and assist with developing and implementing policies and corrective action plans.
- Attend interdepartmental meetings as a representative of the quality assurance department.
- Attend external meetings and trainings representing the agency at trade associations.
- Perform other duties as required.
