- A bachelor's degree in a related field and a minimum of two years of experience in the healthcare or non-profit field are required.
- A high school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of seven years of experience in the healthcare or non-profit field may substitute for the bachelor's degree.
- Must be willing to travel extensively throughout all boroughs.
- Must be willing to work a flexible schedule to meet departmental needs.
- Conduct multiple site visits throughout the year to assess compliance with regulatory mandates.
- Participate in and lead internal audits to identify areas of non-compliance and opportunities for improvement.
- Evaluate the quality of services provided to the individuals served.
- Document audit findings and present comprehensive reports to senior management.
- Conduct follow-up audits to confirm that corrective actions have been implemented and are effective.
- Help develop audit tools for various audits and reviews.
- Develop and deliver staff training programs on quality improvement processes and compliance requirements.
- Ensure training is consistent across departments and aligned with organizational goals.
- Provide technical assistance to staff regarding service delivery, documentation requirements, and other compliance-related issues.
- Monitor and ensure adherence to organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain audit schedules and checklists.
- Develop, review, analyze, and improve internal controls and monitoring systems for various programs and departments.
- Identify compliance risk areas and assist with developing and implementing policies and corrective action plans where indicated.
- Attend interdepartmental meetings as a representative of the quality assurance department to ensure compliance with regulatory mandates.
- Attend external meetings and training sessions as an agency representative at various trade associations.
- Perform other duties as required.
- A master's degree is preferred.
- Audit experience is preferred.
S:US helps New Yorkers who face homelessness, disability, behavioral health and addiction challenges, poverty, criminal justice involvement, and trauma access a wide range of supports across New York City and Long Island. It coordinates services such as case management, housing and stabilization, behavioral health treatment, recovery supports, rehabilitation, advocacy, and community-based programs tailored to each person’s needs. By linking housing, health, justice, and community resources, S:US delivers integrated, place-based services that address multiple barriers at once rather than focusing on a single issue. The goal is to help people lead purposeful lives, improve neighborhoods, and break the cycle of poverty for current and future generations of New Yorkers.
