- A High School Diploma or GED is required.
- At least 1 year of experience as a Unit Secretary or in related administrative work is required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
- The ability to answer phone calls professionally and politely is required.
- Computer literacy is required.
- Assist in planning, organizing, and implementing activities occurring in the nursing station.
- Perform clerical and receptionist duties and maintain the physical environment of the area.
- Schedule resident appointments and coordinate all transportation.
- Answer telephones, take messages, and communicate them to the appropriate person.
- Perform clerical duties related to resident admissions and discharges.
- Maintain charts and provide proper forms for nursing.
- Scan and upload documents as needed.
- Compile new charts and maintain current charts with current forms.
- Assist residents, family members, physicians, and visitors as needed.
- Maintain and follow infection control policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents, visitors, and co-workers.
- Comply with all policies and procedures and any updates.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
