Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in education, communications, marketing, business administration, or a related field.
  • Three to five years of related experience, including at least one year in enrollment management, student recruitment, or higher education.
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

  • A valid, unrestricted state driver's license.
  • Ability to work and drive for extended periods and load, unload, transport, and assemble display materials.
Responsibilities
  • Support implementation of the Adult Learner Program.
  • Recruit students by managing geographic territories, scheduling and conducting recruitment presentations at schools, college fairs, and other locations and events, and conducting informational meetings and interviews.
  • Guide prospective students through the application process from inquiry to enrollment.
  • Build relationships with internal and external contacts focused on adult degree completion.
  • Gather enrollment data for adult learner recruitment, assessment, grant tracking, and reporting.
  • Develop data tracking systems for adult learner inquiries, applications, enrollments, and admissions.
  • Develop and maintain a travel schedule supporting marketing initiatives.
  • Enter contact data for inquiries and prospective students into appropriate electronic databases.
  • Confer with admissions staff and restock travel materials.
  • Run regular and ad hoc reports under the guidance of the Director of Admissions.
  • Coordinate with relevant academic departments.
  • Guide potential students in program selection based on their goals.
  • Support New Mainer and other adult learners with documentation of educational records, including English Language Learner documents.
  • Plan and execute virtual and in-person recruitment events for adult learners.
  • Engage with prospective and online program students to support their success.
  • Attend team, campus, and system-level meetings.
  • Ensure regular communication with prospective students through appropriate faculty members and administrators.
  • Contribute to process and procedure improvements.
  • Maintain appropriate admissions-related memberships.
  • Travel as required, including some nights, weekends, and overnight periods.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with customer relationship management systems, preferably Salesforce and MaineStreet/PeopleSoft.
  • Experience developing strategic recruitment plans using data-driven metrics.
  • Experience leading online admissions growth.
  • Experience in admissions or as an academic advisor for online students.
  • Experience with data collection and organization.
  • Understanding of the unique needs of adult learners, online students, and immigrant students.
  • Experience working with diverse students and communities.
  • A degree in a relevant field.
