Requirements
- Certification as a Patient Care Technician by the National Healthcareer Association, National Center for Competency Testing, or an equivalent organization.
- Ability to read and write English.
- Ability to lift and move patients with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Effective interpersonal skills.
- Ability to organize the activities of multiple patients.
- High school graduation or equivalent.
- Certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation and basic life support.
- Skills in phlebotomy and electrocardiography.
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, quality, patient- and family-focused care and services under the direction of a professional registered nurse.
- Collaborate with designated care-team members to achieve goals.
- Provide patient care consistent with the patient’s or family’s developmental stage and cultural expectations.
